The Interview Questions You Need To Beat

Of course, how would you forget that day? That was the day when you understood what sweaty palms are. Being in the hot seat in front of someone, who will ask you questions, that will determine an important factor of your future is a lot of pressure.

There are easy-go-lucky questions that you could definitely answer easily, but there are those heart-pounding queries that would definitely make you sweat in search for an answer.

* Bitterness check questions

When you are applying for a job, your job experience would definitely be a factor and the interviewee would definitely ask you about your past job/s or the current ones. Questions like, “why did you leave your job?” should be answered intelligently. Never let your emotions rule and you may just say something that would sound like you are bitter. For example, the interviewer asks you about your past job, you do not have to say something against your ex-boss. When you do so, the interviewer would sense that you are being bitter, pushing the blame to others, and if you would say bad things about a past employer, you may say bad things about him.

* Makes you weak questions

There are questions like: “Why do you think we must hire you?” is something common but what if someone asks you “What is your biggest weakness?” you would surely take pause. How to answer that? You turn a negative into a positive. For example, “Some people say I am too impatient. That I expect work back from others more quickly than most.” Being impatient is a negative factor, but employers would usually consider that to be a positive.

* Strictly facts questions

Interviewers may ask about past jobs you have had, and some of your accomplishments in those jobs. That is your time to shine! Because if you have had a significant accomplishment in another job, you can do it for them also.

* The “Tell me about yourself” question

Interviewers generally ask this question to give them a chance to look over your application and resume. Don’t be fooled and think they are not listening to you, just because they are not looking directly at you. Your question should be only 3 or 4 sentences long. You should tell things about yourself that apply to the job to which you are applying, not a long drawn out history of your life. Your “Summary Statement” or your “30 Second Commercial” would fit well here.
